What exactly is ClearCut TicketBox?

ClearCut TicketBox allows an event to print and sell tickets without point of sale. It also allows the tickets to be checked through the included access control software to make sure the ticket is valid. In plain terms, it is a piece of ticket printing software that allows you to check the tickets to make sure they're your own.

How can I use ClearCut TicketBox?

You can either print tickets prior to your event or use ClearCut TicketBox as a simple point of sale station and print tickets as you sell them.

What hardware do I need?

The hardware depends on the setup that you would like. If you would like to print and validate the tickets on the same computer all you will need is:

Windows XP or 7 32-bit computer

The best thing to do is to contact us to discuss your needs.

Do you rent ticket printers?

At this time, we are not currently renting ticket printers. You can contact Worldwide TicketCraft for rentals.

I have full color tickets that are souvenir tickets. Do I have to give them up?

Not necessarily. You can have full color thermal tickets printed up from a ticket printing company. The ClearCut TicketBox software will input the barcode, ticket details (general admit, VIP, or anything else you set), ticket pricing, valid days, etc. You will no longer have to have season tickets printed up before the year begins and throw out the extra at the end of the season! What is the difference between ClearCut TicketBox and ClearCut Point of Sale?

The short answer is, ClearCut TicketBox prints tickets and checks them in access control. ClearCut TicketBox can act as a simple point of sale since it does support touch screen/mouse, on-demand ticket printing, and will give an order total. ClearCut Point of Sale handles more in-depth tasks such as cash control, coupons, product sales, marketing data, and more.

How does ClearCut TicketBox deter counterfeiting?

Once tickets have been printed they will become available in ClearCut Access Control. If the ticket number is not found the ticket will be denied entry. The ticket will also be denied entry if:

Ticket has already been used
Ticket is not valid on the specific date
Ticket is not valid between a specified time
Ticket has been revoked by the event operator

What is Access Control and how does it work?

Access Control is another piece of software produced by ClearCut which will communicate with ClearCut TicketBox. You can set the details for acceptance of a particular ticket and Access Control will follow those rules as well as check for previous usage of the ticket.

Access Control must be installed on a PC with a barcode scanner attached to the PC. Mobile computers are not supported. Upon acceptance or denial of a ticket you will receive an on-screen confirmation and if you choose an audio file can be played.

Can I have Access Control accept both my on-site TicketBox tickets and my online tickets?

Yes! ClearCut TicketBox and ClearCut Online Ticketing share the same database and therefore you can accept a mix of both on-site tickets and ClearCut print at home tickets.

What reports are available for ClearCut TicketBox?

ClearCut TicketBox provides basic reporting such as:

Sales Total Details - Lists which tickets were printed, quantity, and the total value of the ticket printed.
Receipts - You can view each order of tickets printed. The Receipts report will state the time of sale, who completed the sale, ticket name, and ticket quantity.
Access Control Usage - View which and how many tickets were redeemed at Access Control

All reports can be run for a particular day or a range of days.
